The GDP value of Nigeria represents 0.37 percent of the world economy. GDP in Nigeria averaged 130.66 USD Billion from 1960 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 568.50 USD Billion in 2014 and a record low of 4.20 USD,Contribution Minerals and Mining Sector to National,,The sector employs 28,000 people in the large scale mining industry whilst over 1,000,000 people are engaged in the small scale gold, diamonds, sand winning and quarry industries. In 2011, Ghana produced 3.6 million ounces of gold, the highest ever in the history of the country. This resulted in export revenues of over US$5billion.
